• Complete Real Estate Principles: Either correspondence (under $100) or local JC. You have one year to complete the correspondence course, but many have finished it in less than a month.
• Apply for and prepare for State Real Estate Exam Application fee for exam: $25 Exam prep materials: $100 to $200 Practice tests (book or online) Video Live one or two day courses It can take 3-5 weeks to get a test date after you request one, and the test date can be 3-6 weeks beyond that.
• Upon passing, you will receive the license application Fee: $145 You need to be fingerprinted, and get copy of birth certificate After receiving your completed application and fee, it can take DRE 3-6 weeks to process it and issue you your license.
• Choose Real Estate brokerage to work for Interview at least 3 brokers, but end up choosing CPS! Interview other agents
• Get trained CPS Country Air's Success Express (16 classes at $30 per class) Graduate of Realtors Institute (GRI) (12 courses at $139 per class) Sweathogs Sales Training (10 classes for $900)
